Day Out: Cambo Gardens 29/04/2013

On Monday the 29th of April members and staff from Kandahar set off to Cambo Gardens in Fife.

Cambo is a private estate that has a Victorian walled garden, cafe, gift shop, extensive and beautifully maintained grounds and lovely woodland walks.

The group took the bus to the entrance of the estate and then walked up the drive to the impressive house and cafe.

Once refreshed in the cafe the group toured the estate properly taking in the lovely sites.

One of the highlights of the trip was the Victorian walled garden.

The group also saw an old (and soon to be converted) barn and met the friendly four legged animals on the estate.

Before heading back down the trail to get the bus back home.

This ended another great day out for the members of Dundee Mutual Support Group.

Ramblers Group: Freuchie, Falkand and Maspie Den 11/4/13

On Thursday the eleventh of April the rambling group set off to Freuchie for their weekly dawnder.

The bus dropped the group off in Freuchie and they then headed to Newton of Falkand.

They then followed the Laich Road along to Falkland proper.

Once in Falkland the group had a look at some of the ancient architecture on show in the village.

They then headed up the path, encountering this sad looking pooch enroute.

And finally reached the Tyndall Bruce Monument.

Where they were afforded these beautiful views, slightly spoiled by the weather.

On the way back down the path the group came across some stunning waterfalls and interesting bridges.

And finally came back into the Falkland Estate.

This ended another great day out for the Kandahar ramblers!
